Credit Cards
Credit cards have become a purchasing
phenomenon in the past decades. When used wisely, they enable you to spread
the cost of major purchases and also provide a convenient way of conducting
transactions.
It is undoubted that the use of credit cards
can strengthen a person's buying power. they can help make goods or products
affordable when they might otherwise have seemed unobtainable.
Much of the economic activity in modern
societies has been centered around the use of credit cards.
There is also a certain kudos or cachet
surrounding credit cards. This is especially the case if you can 'flash'
gold or platinum card. For guys it gives a signal of a certain financial and
social status, which they may feel is attractive to women. For a woman,
flashing a credit card may be a sign not just of buying power but also of
independence ... even if she is using her husband's card!
So credit cards have a social as well as a
financial role to play but all this comes at a cost. If you are able to meet
this cost then that is all well and good but at times of economic hardship
meeting that cost can be a challenge. |
