Coaching is a fairly new area of personal development. It is a growing and
very popular approach that is often employed by individuals or companies.
The purpose of coaching is to support the client in moving forward in their
life or work or relationship by helping them to achieve their goals or
ambitions.
Goal setting is part of the coaching process, as too are understanding
your own beliefs and values.
Coaching is a confidential process and is centred around work between a
client and their coach.
A coach is not a counselor or an advisor. They do not have answers but
instead they support you to find your own answers and your own way to
achieve your goals.
Coaching differs from counselling in that the client is not usually
experiencing problems or difficulties but merely wishes to move forward in
their life and seeks help and support to do so. |
